=Our school is special because we are all unique with different styles, room 6 especially because we have creative thinkers. South Makirikiri School follows their school values, Empathy, perseverance, integrity, aim high and respect. Each term we pick a certain value to concentrate on for our goals. Living in the country gives us advantages in many events. The teachers at south mak are very caring and always makes sure we make the right decision.In our class we are doing country and western so I made a poster of their traditions

Daffodil Poem

My petals delicately ‘cruise’ in the summer breeze
pirouetting
One of my buds had discovered sunlight
a beautiful, yellow appeared out of the green
A new gift for life
I glance over the tops of the fields
reflective of a giraffes long neck
Confused
Yellow, tissue paper scrunched up in a bundle
a ball of yellow hope hanging from a strong green stalk
I suddenly wonder who i am
I might not be a flower
I might be a reflection the bright sun
I amy not be yellow I could secretly be another colour
Crazy thoughts
I’ll give them a rest for today
and worry about them a different day
